Dear Partners and Colleagues,

At Bunge, we believe our continued commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture is critical as the world manages economic volatility and uncertainty in global markets. We are meeting this moment with focus, discipline and deep engagement across our operations and supply chains.

In our latest Global Sustainability Report, we highlight the programs and partnerships driving measurable outcomes — from decarbonizing our value chains to preserving native ecosystems and enabling regenerative agriculture at scale. Some of our 2024 achievements include:

  • Reducing our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 19.7% and Scope 3 emissions by 6.7% from our 2020 baseline, putting us on track toward our goal of a 25% reduction in emissions from our operations and a 12.3% reduction in our supply chains by 2030.
  • Achieving 100% traceability and monitoring of indirect soy purchases in priority regions of the Brazilian Cerrado, mirroring its 2020 success with direct soy sourcing.
  • Expanding our regenerative agriculture efforts, with programs now active across Brazil, Canada, the U.S., Hungary and Poland.
  • Advancing the use of satellite-based monitoring, blockchain technology and traceability and sharing those tools with our industry partners to broaden the impact of these technologies across the industry.

Earlier this month, Bunge completed our combination with Viterra. This milestone will lead to greater opportunities to accelerate our shared commitments for robust climate action, regenerative agriculture incentives for farmers and an increase of low carbon solutions to customers around the world.

We have a proud history of being a responsible supply chain partner and transparently embedding sustainability into our business strategy, operations and investments. It is an honor to be recognized by Newsweek as one of the World’s Greenest Companies in 2025. This acknowledgement of our people — commercial, operations, supply chains, sustainability and other teams — reaffirms our commitment to environmental stewardship and long-term value creation for our customers and partners.

Agriculture plays an important role in solving some of the world’s greatest challenges, and at Bunge we will continue to work across the value chain to turn that potential into real, scalable impact.

Thank you for your continued trust and support. We look forward to what is still to come this year.

Sincerely,

Bunge’s Global Sustainability Team

RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAINS

Advancing Our 2025 Non-Deforestation Journey

Bunge's current focus areas in our non-deforestation efforts include palm oil sourced globally, and soy, grains and oilseeds sourced in South America.

In 2024, Bunge achieved 100% tracking and monitoring of its indirect soy supply chain in priority regions of the Brazilian Cerrado, replicating the success reached with its direct purchases of soy in 2020. We intend to build on our shared efforts, working with governments, farmers and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities for public-private collaboration focused on eliminating commodity-driven deforestation.

We are also committed to both sourcing and processing traceable and sustainably produced palm oil. The palm oil we deliver is reported to be produced in accordance with '
No Deforestation, No Peat and No Exploitation' (NDPE) practices, which guide both our approach and help our customers deliver on their commitments.

ACTION ON CLIMATE

Expanding Regenerative Agriculture Programs

Regenerative agriculture is a method of farming and a system of practices aimed at improving and restoring the health of soil and ecosystems while strengthening food security and addressing climate risk.

In 2024, Bunge expanded regenerative agriculture efforts into Canada and Poland and grew existing programs in the U.S., Brazil and Hungary. We pay a premium to farmers participating in the program.

  • In Brazil, we doubled the number of farmers engaged in our program throughout 2024, expanding the area in the pilot project from 250,000 hectares to 345,000 hectares in the first year.
  • In Central Europe, we grew our programs with a focus on sunflower and rapeseed. We enrolled approximately 4,400 hectares in Hungary and expanded to Poland, enrolling 1,500 hectares.
  • In North America, we enrolled 300,000 acres (121,405 hectares) of canola in Canada, and, in the U.S., we enrolled approximately 60,000 acres (24,281 hectares) and added three more facilities in the Eastern Corn Belt.

ACTION ON CLIMATE

Progressing Our Science-Based Targets

In 2021, Bunge announced near-term science-based targets (SBTs). Validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative, these targets aim for a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our operations (Scope 1 and 2) and a 12.3% reduction in our supply chains (Scope 3) by 2030, based on a 2020 baseline. Last year, we reduced our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 19.7% and Scope 3 emissions by 6.7%, putting us on track toward our 2030 goals.

Managing our water and waste more sustainably is a long-term effort. Bunge has surpassed our 2026 goals of 10% in both areas. In 2024, we reached 17.2% water intensity reduction and 13.5% waste to landfill intensity reduction, from a 2016 baseline. Approximately 82% of our total waste generated was reused or recycled last year.

New and Noteworthy Partnership Updates

Boosting Renewable Fuel Development with Repsol

In April, we announced with Repsol the incorporation of intermediate novel crops in the production of renewable fuels. Specifically, camelina and safflower will be processed into low-carbon intensity oils and used as feedstock to produce hydrotreated vegetable oil, a fully compatible drop-in replacement for conventional diesel fuel, or sustainable aviation fuel for the decarbonization of air travel. This marks a significant step forward in feedstock innovation to produce renewable fuels in Europe.

Growing Our Winter Canola Program with Chevron and Corteva

Open Field

Bunge, Chevron and Corteva Agriscience joined forces to unlock innovation across the value chain by introducing proprietary winter canola in the U.S. and building the infrastructure to create a new revenue opportunity for growers with a sustainable rotational cash crop.

The successful harvest of the program’s first crop exceeded expectations in 2024, as farmers saw average yields (55 bushels/acre and 52 bushels/acre in Kentucky and Tennessee, respectively) surpass trial results. Currently in its second year, the program has expanded — with nearly 1,000 global growers growing winter canola on 90,000 hectares. This milestone will enable further efficiencies to help the project scale even further.

Partnering to Promote Human Rights Around the World

Bunge’s commitment to sustainability encompasses a deep respect for human rights. While Bunge does not directly own grain farms or palm plantations, we recognize that by investing in programs that improve farmer livelihoods, protect biodiversity and promote responsible land use practices, our work can positively impact vital agricultural communities and strengthen value chains. We’re proud to operate programs around the world that support smallholder farmers, who are essential to both palm and olive oil production, with access to resources, training and sustainable practices.
